Who we are
About Our Service
We help people compare personal-loan options from $500 to $5,000 without filling out a long application at every lender.

We are a small team that runs an online request form for people who need a personal loan between $500 and $5,000. Instead of filling out separate applications with several lenders, you complete one short request, and we share it with lenders in our network that may be able to help. Those lenders review the details, decide whether to make an offer, set the rate and terms, and fund the loan if you accept. Our role is to make that first step simpler and to explain the choices clearly along the way.
Who we are
We are a loan-request connector based in Columbia, South Carolina, made up of a small group of writers, product people and support staff who focus on personal loans for everyday expenses.
Most of us came to this work after watching friends and family struggle with confusing loan offers: a car repair that could not wait, a vet bill that arrived on a Saturday, or a stack of credit card balances that kept growing. Each of those situations has the same problem underneath. People need a clear answer quickly, but the market is crowded, and every lender asks the same questions in a slightly different way. We built our service to reduce that friction.
Our mission
Our mission is to help people compare personal-loan options without a long application, so they can see real choices, understand the cost, and decide calmly instead of under pressure.
We care about three outcomes in particular:
- Less repetition. One request reaches several lenders, so you do not have to type your income and address five times.
- Clear cost. We push readers to compare the APR and the total repayment, not just the monthly payment.
- No pressure. Using our form is free, and you are never obligated to accept an offer you see.

How our service works
Our service works in three broad stages: you submit one short request, lenders in our network review it, and any lender that can help presents an offer you are free to accept or decline.
The request form usually takes about five minutes. It asks for the amount you need, what the loan is for, basic contact details, and some information about your income. After you submit, we pass the request along to lenders whose criteria may fit. Responses often arrive within minutes, though timing depends on the lender. If you accept an offer, you finish the process directly with that lender, which handles its own verification, loan agreement and funding. Funding often arrives around the next business day after approval, though this is an estimate and varies by lender and bank. Our how it works page walks through each step in more detail.
What we are not
We are not a lender, and we do not make loan decisions, set interest rates, or decide who is approved; lenders in our network make every one of those decisions independently.
That distinction matters for a few practical reasons. We cannot tell you in advance whether a lender will make you an offer, and submitting a request does not mean you will be approved. We cannot change the terms a lender sets. Once you sign a loan agreement, your account belongs to that lender, so payments, due dates and hardship requests go to the lender directly. Loan availability, amounts and terms also vary by state, and some lenders do not operate everywhere.
How we earn money
We earn money when lenders in our network pay us for the requests we pass along or for loans that are completed, which is why our service costs nothing for the people who use it.
Because lenders compensate us, we want to be open about the effect that can have. Compensation may influence which lenders are part of our network and the order in which offers appear. It never adds a fee to your loan from our side, and it does not change the fact that the lender alone decides whether to offer you credit. Our advertiser disclosure explains the arrangement in full, including a representative cost example.
Our editorial standards
Our guides are written to help readers make a sound decision, which means plain language, honest trade-offs, and cost figures that are clearly labeled as estimates rather than promises.
Every guide on our site follows the same rules:
- Estimates are labeled. Rates, payments, fees and funding times depend on the lender, so we describe them as typical ranges or worked examples.
- Alternatives get a fair hearing. When a credit union loan, a payment plan or simply waiting would serve you better, we say so.
- No invented numbers. We do not cite statistics or studies we cannot stand behind, and we stick to well-known general facts about lending.
- Regular review. Writers with backgrounds in consumer credit and budgeting review guides and update them when lender practices change.
- Compensation does not decide conclusions. What a lender pays us has no role in what our guides recommend.
If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, please tell us through our contact page. Corrections are one of the most useful things a reader can send.
Where to go next
New readers usually get the most value by checking typical costs first, then deciding whether a personal loan fits their situation before they submit any request at all.
A good path is to read our rates guide for typical APR ranges, try the personal loan calculator with your own amount and term, and look through the frequently asked questions. When you feel ready, the request form is there, and it costs nothing to see what lenders in our network may offer.
