Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules for using our website and request form, what we do and do not do, and what we ask of you in return.

These terms of use form an agreement between you and us covering your use of our website, our personal-loan request form, and any related services. We have tried to write them in plain English. Please read them carefully, because they include important limits on our responsibility and explain that lenders, not us, decide whether to offer you a loan.

01

Acceptance of these terms

By visiting our website or submitting a request through our form, you agree to these terms of use and to our privacy policy; if you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Our privacy policy explains how we collect and share information and forms part of these terms. Some features may come with additional instructions or disclosures, which also apply when you use those features.

02

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use our request form, and you must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

Lenders in our network have their own eligibility requirements, which may include minimum income, a valid bank account, a verifiable identity and residence in a state where they lend. Meeting our basic eligibility requirements does not mean a lender will make you an offer. You can learn more about common lender requirements on our eligibility page.

03

Our role as a connector

We operate a free loan-request service that shares your information with lenders in our network; we are not a lender, broker of record, or financial advisor, and we do not make credit decisions.

When you submit a request, we pass it along to lenders that may be able to help. Each lender independently reviews the request, decides whether to make an offer, sets the rate, fees and terms, and funds the loan if you accept. We may be compensated by lenders in our network, as described in our advertiser disclosure. We do not charge you a fee, and you have no obligation to accept any offer.

04

No promise of offers

Submitting a request does not mean you will be approved, and we cannot promise that any lender will make an offer, offer a particular amount, or offer a particular rate or term.

Offers depend on each lender's criteria, your credit and financial profile, and the laws of your state. Loan availability varies by state, and some requests receive no offers. Any rates, payments or timing figures on our site are estimates for general information only and are not offers of credit.

05

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information, to submit requests only for yourself, and to use our site lawfully and without interfering with its operation.

In particular, you agree not to:

  • Submit false information or information about another person without their permission
  • Use the site to commit fraud or to test stolen identity or bank details
  • Copy, scrape or resell content or data from the site using automated tools
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or disrupt the site

Providing inaccurate information may cause a lender to withdraw an offer or decline a request. We may refuse or remove any request that appears fraudulent or violates these terms.

06

Third-party lenders and their terms

Any loan you accept is an agreement between you and the lender alone, governed by the lender's own loan agreement, disclosures and privacy policy, which we do not control.

Read every lender document carefully before signing. Questions about payments, fees, due dates, collections or your loan account must go to the lender. We are not responsible for a lender's decisions, products, conduct or communications, and we do not endorse any particular lender.

07

Intellectual property

All content on our site, including text, guides, graphics, logos, images and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws.

You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, republish or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

08

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Our site and services are provided as is and as available, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of them.

In plain English: we work hard to keep our guides accurate and our site running, but we cannot promise the site will always be available, error-free or complete. Our content is general information, not financial, legal or tax advice, so consider speaking with a qualified professional about your situation. We are not responsible for losses that result from a lender's decision, from information you provide, or from your reliance on estimates. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our total liability to you for any claim related to the site will not exceed one hundred dollars. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

09

Governing law, changes and contact

South Carolina law governs these terms of use, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and we may update them at any time by posting a new version on this page.

Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. For questions, email [email protected], call (888) 589-1075, or write to 796 Birch Lane, Suite 694, Columbia, SC 29201. Our contact page lists typical response times.
